Mirjana Pejić Bach is a full professor in the Department of Informatics, Faculty of Economics & Business, University of Zagreb. She holds a PhD in system dynamics modeling and has completed advanced training in system dynamics at the MIT Sloan School of Management and in data mining with the Olivia Group.
Her research focuses on generative artificial intelligence, the strategic application of digital technologies in business, data science, system dynamics and simulation modeling, and qualitative and quantitative research methods. She has led and contributed to numerous national and international research and applied projects, including European Union projects and bilateral research initiatives.
Mirjana serves in editorial roles for several scientific journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. She has organized international conferences, delivered invited and plenary lectures, and received international recognition for her scientific work, including the Emerald Literati Network Award for Excellence. Based on Scopus citation data, she was included among the world’s top 2% most-cited scientists in 2020, 2021, and 2022.
A central part of her work is supporting emerging researchers through doctoral supervision, methodological guidance, and academic career development.
